“The teacher is of course an artist, but being an artist does not mean that he or she can make the profile, can shape the students. What the educator does in teaching is to make it possible for the students to become themselves.”
– Paolo Freire

Having worked at both undergraduate and graduate levels and at large and small private institutions, Jenn strives to infuse social justice principles and inclusion practices into more general areas of student affairs. Her passion lies in leadership development, believing that students are capable of using the privilege of a post-secondary education to create more equitable and just spaces in their future spheres of influence.
Jenn’s approach to consulting is grounded in the belief that “the knowledge is in the room” and utilizes the lived experiences of participants to give life to theories and conceptual frameworks of inclusion, equity, and justice. She values authenticity, an ethic of care, and individual efficacy in order to move toward and sustain change.
Jenn also believes in the power of design in how we communicate information. Through her graphic design work, Jenn strives to create simple, colorful, and dynamic designs for pieces that mean the most to us: invitations, calendar of programming, birth announcements, and educational presentations.
